Why I Otter! Giant South American river otter vocalizations, including shrieks, barks, screeches, whistles, whines, and groans. Lots of wild and expressive, high-pitched madness that can be pitched down, layered into wraiths and creatures, or integrated into magic, mutant powers, spaceships, and other designed sounds that need an unstable organic edge.

Believable creature design needs organic source with real physical behavior. Pitch wobble, throat pressure, breath, strain, and unstable little artifacts are the things that tell the ear “this was real” before the brain has time to identify the animal.
